Man Has Argument With Wife So He Shoots Dog
From W970FLA (Pics added by B.S. Report)
CLEARWATER, Fla. (AP) – Police, while responding to reports of gunshots, found a dead dog and a passed out owner in a Clearwater backyard. When the cops showed up they found 47 year-old Yuriy Solovyev face down in the grass. A deceased 9-year-old chow was not far from the man.
Police learned Solovyev had an argument with his wife earlier and she left the house. He began drinking and became extremely intoxicated, and eventually turned the gun on the pup.
The dog was shot multiple times, killing the animal. Additionally, a bullet ricocheted off of Solovyev’s fence and went through a neighbor’s window. No one else was injured.
When police found Solovyev in his back yard, it appears he was in the process of burying the deceased dog, when he passed out. Solovyev was taken into custody and was transported to a local hospital for medical evaluation due to his high level of intoxication. He will be charged with felony animal cruelty and improper discharge of a firearm.

Tony The Siberian Tiger Pulled From Moat At San Francisco Zoo
Information from the San Francisco Chronicle (Pics added by B.S. Report)
SAN FRANCISCO (AP) – ‘Tony’ the Siberian tiger is back on display at the San Francisco Zoo after being shot with tranquilizers and hauled out of a moat where he’d spent four nights.
Zoo officials say it’s not clear why Tony stayed in the moat. He’s in good health, although he’s 18 and a recent medical evaluation showed signs of senility.
Zoo officials decided on Monday that Tony could no longer stay in the dry moat he climbed into Thursday. The excrement was piling up and officials worried about a potential health hazard.
So with the help of firefighters, they hit the 360-pound tiger with tranquilizer darts, strapped him to a board and hauled him out with a pulley.
Siberian tigers have a life expectancy of 10 to 15 years in the wild and 14 to 20 years in captivity.

Columnist Of The Day: Walter Williams; Conflict Or Cooperation
From Townhall.com (Pics added by B.S. Report)
Different Americans have different and often intense preferences for all kinds of goods and services. Some of us have strong preferences for beer and distaste for wine while others have the opposite preference — strong preferences for wine and distaste for beer. Some of us hate three-piece suits and love blue jeans while others love three-piece suits and hate blue jeans.
When’s the last time you heard of beer drinkers in conflict with wine drinkers, or three-piece suit lovers in conflict with lovers of blue jeans? It seldom if ever happens because beer and blue jean lovers get what they want. Wine and three-piece suit lovers get what they want and they all can live in peace with one another.
It would be easy to create conflict among these people. Instead of free choice and private decision-making, clothing and beverage decisions could be made in the political arena. In other words, have a democratic majority-rule process to decide what drinks and clothing that would be allowed. (Read more.)

Security guard and dog stand in front of French LCL bank agency after robbers raided it and made off with contents from 200 private boxes.
Robbers tunneled their way into a bank vault in central Paris, tied up a security guard for hours and made off with valuables from almost 200 private safe boxes.
The thieves tied up the security guard at a Crédit Lyonnais branch on Paris’s Avenue de l’Opera on Saturday night, before boring through a series of neighbouring cellars to reach the vault, police said.
They spent several hours opening the safes and set the place on fire as they left. The value of the stolen goods is still being estimated, police said. (Read more.)

Pop Goes The Free Market: Israel MP Wants A Law Controlling Popcorn Prices At Movie Theaters
From Breitbart (Pics added by B.S. Report)
(AFP) – An Israeli lawmaker is hoping to butter up voters and pass a law that would limit outrageous popcorn prices at the movies.
Carmel Shama, from the governing Likud party, plans to bring the “popcorn law” for a vote when parliament returns from its Passover break next week, the mass-selling Yediot Aharonot newspaper reported Wednesday.
“We have to put an end to this. The public should not have to mortgage their houses for a soft drink and a snack,” Shama told the paper.
A large box of popcorn usually sells for about five dollars (four euros) at theatre concession stands, more than double what it costs at a supermarket and 10 times more than it would cost to make at home. (Read more.)

From NBC New York.com (Pic and video added by B.S. Report)
By Brian Thompson
McDonald’s might need to enlist its Big Mouth Billy Bass Singing Fish, made famous in its TV ads, to “bring back” that fish one impatient customer took at its restaurant in South Brunswick, N.J.
Police said the customer crawled out of his car and into the drive thru window to get his fish sandwich, after slapping the McDonald’s employee in the face.
“His Filet-O-Fish was taking too long at 4:30 in the morning,” said South Brunswick Police Detective Sergeant James Ryan to NBCNewYork.
According to Ryan, the customer yelled at the employee and pushed him against the counter. (Read more.)

Quote Of The Day: Alexander Hamilton
“If it be asked, What is the most sacred duty and the greatest source of our security in a Republic? The answer would be, An inviolable respect for the Constitution and Laws — the first growing out of the last. … A sacred respect for the constitutional law is the vital principle, the sustaining energy of a free government.”
