Columnist Of The Day: Larry Elder; NAACP, Fights Old Battles And Embraces Left-Wing Policies
From Townhall.com (Pics added by B.S. Report)
Is the NAACP demanding that it not be taken seriously?
The civil rights group passed a resolution condemning “bigotry within” the limited-government/constitutionalist Tea Party movement, as if there is any large group without idiots — and, in this case, inconsequential ones at that.
Four percent of Democrats — and 3 percent of Republicans — according to a Los Angeles Times/Bloomberg poll, would refuse to vote for a black presidential candidate whose views mirror their own. That comes out to almost 3 million Democratic bigots. How does that compare with the number of presumed bigots within the Tea Party?
Julian Bond, NAACP chairman from 1998 until 2010, routinely called the entire Republican Party racist and fascist — and got away with it. These outrageous attacks — not unlike the waving of Bush/Hitler signs at anti-Bush rallies — provoked no indignation from those now hyperventilating over the Tea Party’s alleged “racist elements.” (Read more.)

More “Nanny State” Outrage: Government To Demand Salary Information From Businesses
(Pics added by B.S. Report)
By Penny Starr
(CNSNews.com) – The Obama administration is backing legislation that includes regulations requiring U.S. businesses to provide to the government data about employee pay as it relates to the sex, race and national origin of employees.
In an orchestrated effort that included a statement by President Barack Obama and an event at the White House featuring Vice President Joe Biden, Attorney General Eric Holder and Labor Secretary Hilda Solis, the president and his cabinet endorsed the Paycheck Fairness Act. (Read more.)
B.S. Report–This is government –this is what life-long politicos do, they acquire as much power and authority as they can! They butt into every nook and cranny of our lives until we get enough backbone to tell them to get the hell out. They won’t do this voluntarily–the message has to come from a fed-up population that is mad enough to throw these bums out…

“South Park” Terrorist Arrested
From the Smoking Gun (Pic added by B.S. Report)
JULY 21–The Virginia man who this year threatened the creators of “South Park” over an episode featuring the Prophet Muhammad dressed in a bear suit, was arrested today on federal charges after speaking openly to the FBI about his connection to a terror organization and his plans to travel overseas to fight with the group.
Zachary Chesser, 20, was charged with providing material support to Al-Shabaab, a terror group affiliated with al-Qaeda. According to the below affidavit sworn by FBI Agent Mary Brandt Kinder, Chesser, a convert to Islam, spoke at length with agents about his attempts to travel to Kenya and Somalia to join Al-Shabaab and his devotion to jihad, which has included his operation of web sites and a You Tube channel stocked with jihadi propaganda. Quote Of The Day: Thomas Jefferson
If the present Congress errs in too much talking, how can it be otherwise in a body to which the people send one hundred and fifty lawyers, whose trade it is to question everything, yield nothing, and talk by the hour?

Gallup Poll: Confidence In Congress At All-Time Low…11%!
From Gallup.com
By Lydia Saad
Fifty percent “little”/”no” confidence in Congress reading is record high
PRINCETON, NJ — Gallup’s 2010 Confidence in Institutions poll finds Congress ranking dead last out of the 16 institutions rated this year. Eleven percent of Americans say they have a great deal or quite a lot of confidence in Congress, down from 17% in 2009 and a percentage point lower than the previous low for Congress, recorded in 2008.
The Gallup poll was conducted July 8-11, shortly before Congress passed a major financial regulatory reform bill, which President Obama signed into law this week. (Read more.)

BYOTP?…Newark, NJ Budget Awash In Red Ink; City Stop’s Buying Toilet Paper
(Pic added by B.S. Report)
MYFOXNY.COM – Things are getting so bad in Newark that the mayor has ordered the government to stop buying toilet paper.
It’s part of Newark Mayor Cory Booker’s belt-tightening plans that include reducing most city workers to a 4-day work week and shuttering city pools. Booker estimates that the pool closures alone would save $250,000. He also says that no gas will be purchased for municipal vehicles that are not deemed critically important.
Police officers, firefighters and sanitation workers would not be affected by the furlough plan. City workers were already bracing for furloughs starting in August. The number of unpaid days would increase from 11 to 19 with Booker’s plan. (Read more.)
B.S. Report–What do responsible people do in real life when money is tight? If you said cut back on their spending–go to the head of the class! While many of us wouldn’t choose to cut back on toilet paper, cutting back on nearly every non-necessity is proper behavior. What was improper behavior was spending so much money on frivolous programs in the first place…

BP: Is Dishonesty The Best Policy?; Another Altered Photograph Found On Company’s Website
From The Washington Post (Pics added by B.S. Report)
By Steven Mufson
The search for doctored BP photos is on. And it’s a bit like finding Waldo in the famous game.
On Wednesday, for the second time this week, a blog has identified an altered photograph about BP’s oil spill response on the company’s Web site.
The Gawker Web site said it received a tip about a BP photo taken from inside a helicopter, that shows a panorama of vessels working on the sea surface near the damaged well. The view through the windows makes it appear as though the helicopter is in the air.
But the astute tipster noticed a small glimpse of a control tower in a corner of the photograph. A poor Photoshop job left some white space around the shoulder of one of the pilots next to a patch of sea that was a brighter shade of blue than other parts of the gulf. In addition, zooming in on the helicopter’s gauges reveals that the helicopter is not in the air at all; the dashboard indicates that the door and ramp are open and the parking brake engaged, Gawker noted. The pilot appears to be holding a pre-flight checklist. (Read more.)
