Quote Of The Day: Thomas Jefferson
[The tax system must] be equally and fairly applied to all. To take from one, because it is thought that his own industry and that of his fathers has acquired too much, in order to spare [give] to others, who, or whose fathers have not exercised equal industry and skill, is to violate arbitrarily the first principle of association, “the guarantee to every one of a free exercise of his industry, and the fruits acquired by it.”
–Thomas Jefferson, Note in Destutt de Tracy’s Political Economy, 1816

NFL Preview: San Diego Chargers At Indy Colts (-3)
From CBS Sports (Pics added by B.S. Report)
If the Indianapolis Colts fall Sunday night, it probably wouldn’t be as devastating as the other recent losses they’ve been handed by the San Diego Chargers.
It still would have to sting pretty badly.
The Chargers look to continue their latest second-half surge and send the Colts into a deeper funk by winning for the fifth time in the last six meetings.
This is San Diego’s third trip to Indianapolis in just over five years, and the first two resulted in crushing defeats for the Colts. They had a 12-0 record before losing 26-17 in 2005, then took a nine-game win streak into the playoffs after the 2008 season only to lose 28-24 on a late touchdown even after knocking Philip Rivers out of the game. NFL Game Of The Day: Philadelphia (-3′) At Chicago
From CBS Sports (Pics added by B.S. Report)
With Michael Vick playing like a Pro Bowl quarterback and leading Philadelphia to three straight victories and into sole possession of first place in the NFC East, the Eagles are suddenly looking like a Super Bowl contender.
The Chicago Bears have similarly won three games in a row and are also atop their division, but aren’t widely considered an NFC power. A win over Philadelphia would go a long way in confirming their status as a top contender.
Vick looks to help the Eagles to a fourth straight win Sunday at Soldier Field against a Bears team hoping for a signature victory. (Read more.)

College Football Shocker: Boise State Eliminated From BCS In Dramatic Upset!!
From the AP (Videos added by B.S. Report)
RENO, Nevada – Two missed kicks had Boise State going from being the darling of BCS busters everywhere to just another team looking for a bowl game.
No. 19 Nevada roared back from a 17-point halftime deficit Friday night, beating Boise State (No. 4 BCS, No. 3 AP ) 34-31 in overtime in a wild game for the Wolf Pack’s biggest win ever.
It snapped Boise State’s 24-game winning streak and ended any hopes the Broncos would be able to make a case for the BCS title game. (Read more.)

Happy Thanksgiving!…George Washington’s Thanksgiving Proclamation
By the President of the United States of America, a Proclamation.
Whereas it is the duty of all Nations to acknowledge the providence of Almighty God, to obey his will, to be grateful for his benefits, and humbly to implore his protection and favor– and whereas both Houses of Congress have by their joint Committee requested me to recommend to the People of the United States a day of public thanksgiving and prayer to be observed by acknowledging with grateful hearts the many signal favors of Almighty God especially by affording them an opportunity peaceably to establish a form of government for their safety and happiness.
Now therefore I do recommend and assign Thursday the 26th day of November next to be devoted by the People of these States to the service of that great and glorious Being, who is the beneficent Author of all the good that was, that is, or that will be– That we may then all unite in rendering unto him our sincere and humble thanks–for his kind care and protection of the People of this Country previous to their becoming a Nation–for the signal and manifold mercies, and the favorable interpositions of his Providence which we experienced in the course and conclusion of the late war–for the great degree of tranquility, union, and plenty, which we have since enjoyed–for the peaceable and rational manner, in which we have been enabled to establish constitutions of government for our safety and happiness, and particularly the national One now lately instituted–for the civil and religious liberty with which we are blessed; and the means we have of acquiring and diffusing useful knowledge; and in general for all the great and various favors which he hath been pleased to confer upon us.
And also that we may then unite in most humbly offering our prayers and supplications to the great Lord and Ruler of Nations and beseech him to pardon our national and other transgressions– to enable us all, whether in public or private stations, to perform our several and relative duties properly and punctually–to render our national government a blessing to all the people, by constantly being a Government of wise, just, and constitutional laws, discreetly and faithfully executed and obeyed–to protect and guide all Sovereigns and Nations (especially such as have shewn kindness unto us) and to bless them with good government, peace, and concord–To promote the knowledge and practice of true religion and virtue, and the encrease of science among them and us–and generally to grant unto all Mankind such a degree of temporal prosperity as he alone knows to be best.
Given under my hand at the City of New York the third day of October in the year of our Lord 1789.
