New Tone?…Don’t Bet On It; Obama’s Post-Election Presser
B.S. Report–This election was about one thing: Stopping Obama’s statist agenda. Count me on the side that says I don’t want Republicans working with Democrats. If Republicans reach out to compromise with Democrats then they are ignoring the lesson of this election.
We voted the way we did because we don’t want to “work” with Obama–we want him, and his agenda, defeated. Now, on the other hand, if he wants to work with Republicans he can easily do that by repealing health care, abandoning “Cap and Tax” and by getting the governments’ paws off the private sector economy. That’s what the people want and that’s what would improve our economy.
But don’t look for Obama to abandon his ideology. He’s not Bill Clinton. President Obama is dead-set on taking this country to a place where most of us don’t want to go. He doesn’t like the Constitution, he doesn’t believe in limited government, and he considers himself more a “world” president than an American president.
Without majorities, it’s likely that Obama will resort to using unelected bodies like the EPA, the courts, and his “czars” to force his vision on the rest of us peasants. He may have been temporarily declawed–but he is still far from harmless…

GOP Juggernaut Doesn’t Include California
B.S. Report–Yesterday, Republicans picked up between 60-64 seats in the House, 6 Senate seats, 10 governorships and hundreds of state legislature seats. Undoubtedly, it was a historic election for the GOP which included gains in nearly every state with the obvious and notable exception of California.
And that’s a shame because California is on life-support and instead of reaching for a life-raft the electorate may have opted to drown. California, so often the home of unpreventable natural disasters such as earthquakes, fires and floods, doesn’t need to add disasters of their own making.
While Meg Whitman and Carly Fiorina wouldn’t have necessarily turned the state around, it’s depressing when you compare them to the people who defeated them. They lost to a California Democratic Party machine that is so intertwined and beholden to unions that our elections have become almost foregone conclusions.
It was a discouraging night for Californians who wanted to change direction and push for more fiscal responsibility and less government intrusion. But it’s all the more painful when the population votes for their own demise. And that’s what happened with two ballot propositions.
Take Proposition 23 for example. This measure would have put global warming legislation on a temporary hold for the good of the economy, but it was soundly defeated thanks to numerous powerful lobbies and their environmental zealot followers. This will certainly be an enormous job killer.
That was awful enough but voting to approve Proposition 25, which grants the California state legislature more power and authority over our personal lives, well that takes the proverbial cake.
Specifically, it changes the rule requiring the state legislature to obtain a two-thirds majority before action can be taken on any budget-related legislation. That has now been reduced to a simple majority meaning all it takes to raise our taxes is a vote of over 50%!
In short, the positive results seen elsewhere in the country did not translate to California. Perhaps this election is a signal to many of us here that it’s time to pack our bags and move to more hospitable environs. It’s clear that it will be a long time before California can once again rightfully be referred to as “The Golden State.”

House Cleaning!…GOP Takes The House; Narrows Gap In The Senate
From ABC News (Pics added by B.S. Report)
By Devin Dwyer
ABC News projects Republicans will take control of the House of Representatives picking-up between 60 and 70 seats in a resounding rebuke to President Obama and the Democrats.
The GOP House victory would be the biggest gain for a party in a midterm since 1938, when Democrats lost 71 seats amid deep economic malaise during the Great Depression.
House Minority Leader and likely future speaker John Boehner was moved to tears when he addressed a crowd of supporters in Washington. (Read more.)

Election Day 2010: B.S. Report California Ballot Recommendations…
B.S. Report–California is in sorry shape and it’s crucial that we defeat this out-of-control Democratic Party whose ideology stands for one basic idea: Ever-expanding government control over our private lives. These career politicians are only interested in power and control and have no intention of reigning in their irresponsible spending. It’s up to us to stop them!
Remember, there is no such thing as a “perfect” candidate. Often, the choice we make comes down to which elected official will do less damage. It is unreasonable to withhold your vote from a candidate because you are not in 100% agreement with him or her on every issue. That is not the test. And that attitude often enables the opposing candidate, the one in which you may have little or nothing in common with, to reach office. Don’t let the “perfect” be the enemy of the “better.”
Most Democrats are patriotic Americans and love this country as much as any Republican does. And we especially salute you Democrats that have decided not to sit idly by and watch your once-great party destroy America. We need more people like you that are able to put country ahead of party. None of us want to see our country “transformed.” It’s time to vote…here’s our recommendations.
Governor: Meg Whitman
Yes, Meg Whitman is far from an ideal candidate–in fact, to be perfectly honest, she’s a rotten one…but she has one major factor working in her favor: She’s not Jerry Brown, a lunatic retread…and in this case that’s a good enough reason to grant her your vote.
United States Senator: Carly Fiorina
Carly Fiorina is somewhat better than Whitman as a candidate but she too is not an “ideal” candidate. But in this race, you don’t have to be “ideal.” Even “bad” would still be “good” enough to be infinitely better than Barbara Boxer! Let’s be honest, Fiorina is running against perhaps the most incompetent, destructive and intellectually embarrassing Senator in the country. It would be difficult to pick a name out of the phone book that wouldn’t be an improvement over Boxer…enough said.
Ballot Propositions
Prop 19 No –Legalizing Marijuana. Decriminalizing marijuana use at home is one thing…but do we really need to give it a seal of approval and encourage its use?
Prop 20 Yes –Taking the drawing of Congressional districts out of the hands of elected representatives is always a good thing.
Prop 21 No–Additional $18 vehicle registration fee to fund state parks. My side hurts from uncontrollable laughter. An idiotic idea.
Prop 22 No–A poorly written and confusing funding amendment. I’m agreeing with some very sordid unions on this…so I might be wrong.
Prop 23 Yes–This Should Be Called “The Prop To Stop Job Killing.” This proposition is extremely important because it puts the ridiculous global warming legislation on hold giving the economy time to recover. It also would send a message to other states regarding similar legislation on the man-made global warming boondoggle.
Prop 24 No–This Should Be Called “The Business Killer Proposition” because it would raise taxes on businesses yet again! Aren’t we in a recession with state unemployment/under-employment hovering around 20%? We’ve long ago passed the point where we should be fleecing businesses for even more tax revenue.
Prop 25 No–This Should Be Called “The Give Government Even More Power Proposition” because it would allow government to pass budget legislation, including tax hikes! by a simple majority vote instead of a two-thirds vote. Are you kidding? Not a chance–if anything it should be increased to a 9/10ths vote!
Prop 26 Yes–The opposite of the above. Requires two-thirds vote to approve certain local fees. Would rather it be 9/10ths as well, but we’ll start at two-thirds.
Prop 27 No–This Should Be Called “The Incumbent Protection Bill” because it is just another “sucker” proposition that tries to turn redistricting power over to elected representatives. I think not.

Land Of The Giants! San Francisco Defeats Texas To Bring City First World Series Title
From CBS Sports (Pic and video added by B.S. Report)
ARLINGTON, Texas — Say Hey.
Say World Series champions.
The prize that eluded Willie and Barry for so long finally belongs to the San Francisco Giants, thanks to a band of self-described castoffs and misfits and their shaggy-haired ace.
Tim Lincecum, Edgar Renteria and the Giants won the title Monday night, beating the Texas Rangers 3-1 in a tense Game 5 and taking the trophy home to the city by the Bay for the first time.
“San Francisco is going nuts, we’re going nuts and it feels really good,” closer Brian Wilson said.
It was an overdue victory. Willie Mays led the Giants to their previous crown in 1954, four years before they moved West. After that, they never quite got it done despite the likes of baseball giants Barry Bonds, Juan Marichal and Willie McCovey. (Read more.)
