They’ll run the Preakness once again in Baltimore on Saturday. The second leg of horse racing’s triple crown. And, I feel pretty comfortable in saying that for the 34th year in a row there won’t be a triple-crown winner.
I’ve loved horse racing every since I was a kid, climbing over the fence at Tanforan Racetrack – now a shopping center near the airport – just to beat the one dollar admission. It somehow seemed fitting to me that if the track was going to take advantage of me, I was going to take advantage of it first. (Read more.)
