NFL Preview: Philadelphia Eagles (-3) At Arizona Cardinals

At the season’s outset, it didn’t appear Kevin Kolb would get to face his former team in Week 3. Many would have believed it to be even less likely his team would enter undefeated.

An injury caused Kolb to lose his starting job to Michael Vick, and another one may be the reason he gets to square off against the man who replaced him as the Arizona Cardinals host the Philadelphia Eagles in a matchup of 2-0 teams Sunday.

Kolb was Philadelphia’s No. 1 quarterback entering the 2010 season only to suffer a concussion in Week 1, and he’d never reclaim the role. While Vick took over and would win Comeback Player of the Year, Kolb was traded to Arizona that summer for cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie and a draft pick before signing a five-year deal worth $63 million.
